Mic not working in Arma 3 only [PLEASE HELP]

I play a lot of Altis life and a mic is a very important part to that. Recently it stopped working. The thing is it works in all my other steam games like Gmod and DayZ Standalone. If you could help me out with this I would be so grateful.

can sameone post how to solve this ? How do i even test microphone in game ? Where is the settings this is f*cking weird. My mic works everywhere except amra 3.

Just saying. ArmA use the "DEFAULT" setting for sound input/output. Make sure your mic/headset is the DEFAULT setting in windows BEFORE launching the game. Changing this requires a RESTART of your client to take effect.

I have tried everything and every combination of WIN10 settings, Arma 3 settings, drivers, Armoury, you name it but my ROG Delta headset mic doesn't work. The game's channel and handle screen indications are all present and behave normally but no audio is heard by people on the server. I give up -- way too many hours trying everything people have suggested and even things they haven't. NO JOY.

I'm having this issue. Where is the caps lock PTT assignment in controls anyway?

Edit: It's under Multiplayer. More than likely you're trying to use a PTT assignment that there's no one in that category (i.e. you're in a group of one, you're not commanding anyone, etc).

I have this same, exact issue and have worked on it for literally weeks and weeks. I'll see someone post a possible cause and I'll try it. No workie. This is a ROG Republic of Gamers headset and it works perfectly in every application I run EXCEPT Arma 3. There are so many, many people with this issue that there is obviously some issue that is common to these people who have already worked long and hard following every known solution. This needs someone seriously focused on the issue, not anecdotal solutions at this point.

Thanks to the smart and talented person that finally gets this right. I give up on trial/error approaches. I'll wait until the community agrees that it's fixed.

Thanks Pripyat Lizard (Chernobyl reference?) . From you suggestion, I read up on both and I believe ACRE is the better fit for my background and current preferences. Thank you for your suggestion.
