Helicopter pilot, Stuck in freelook.

Hey guys. (there is a solution at the end that might work)

So well this is my problem, i open arma 3 without mods.

Connect to KOTH server, buy chopper and fly around, get points etc. I land, run around get killed (i killed at least 300 though) and then respawn, buy chopper, fly around, land play, die, spawn.

And theeen, i spawn and buy a chopper again, and when i press look right the view is just in Freelook mode. And well ok i press the freelook button to disable... Nop.

Hmmm checking options... Ok try and map it to a button on my controller (ps3 with ds3 tools emulating xbox 360 controller) exit menu and try to disable it, Nop

So i have to restart my game everytime and this sometimes happens when i'm maybe 20 mins from the end of the game and i have a decent amount of points at that time and don't really want to loose the bonus. And the issue is that i have trust issues with other piloting helis

So any one also has noticed this? my friend who i'm playing with also has this issue sometimes but he uses a normal xbox 360 controller.

I found this post though on steam so i'm going to try it now and we'll see, if it works i think we should maybe make a sticky of the known buggs like this which have known fixes/workarounds.

Just saying would make it easier for people to scroll through a list of buggs with titles and solution than search through posts where there might not be an answer to the problem ;)

For all those that randomly get stuck with freelook in helicopters when playing multiplayer, try getting out from the pilot seat, jump in the rear/passenger seat, get out and then back to pilot seat.

Only been able to try this twice but it has so far had a 100% rate of success.

Im also pretty sure this bug comes from sitting in a passanger seat and die/vehicle explodes -> game has you stuck in "passanger freelook mode" when you get back in, until you enter and exit a passanger seat so it turns it off.

Do you know by any chance what the control name is in the controls list? in vehicles or? thnx again
