when given a waypoint, ai pilot just flies straight up to the sky. (only when players are in it)
whenever I give a pilot a waypoint he just flies straight up to the sky but only when players are in it, when there are no players they fly as normal. any one know why? i run mods btw

yea i got rid of all ai mods and the GGE things

The AI also tend to do that for me too but I think it has to do with if you add a script or are using a scripted helicopter. I also don't think the AI have an issue on where their going as they will point the heli in the direction they need to go it's more of executing the movement of getting there.

Incase anybody is still having problems with this, its GGE: Weapon Swap that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ something up. Don't ask me how, don't ask me why, It's just a simple solution. Remove that mod and you should be dandy, I haven't had any problems with any other GGE mods.

If able (If you're Zeusing, or even made a mission in the Editor) I found that if you place a Helipad (Invisible) where you want the helicopter to land, and then give the Helicopter a "Transport Unload" order, it'll fly to the marker for the Helipad, and locate the best stable spot to land near it or on it, and wait until all passengers have disembarked from it before taking off and following whatever pathing order it is given after the fact. I did this for a Private scenario where I was Zeusing, and had it successfully follow its land order for my players, waited for them to unload, then noped off back to its carrier that I had it hanging out on.
You find the Invisible Helipad in the usual section where buildings are at.

Read my recent reply to this thread.
Napalm script remove it, for anyone using the napalm script via ini input and you have this issue it messes with player in transport heli don't ask how or why, I literally removed all my mods one by one, only to realise it was a script running in an air unit on the map tucked away. forgot all about it. hours to trouble shoot a mission I spent days making
