Weird BLACK SCREEN crash (SOLVED?)

Solution: ARMA was using a prerended frame value in the configuration that was not available in the nvidia control panel. I had to manually set it to 1 in both the control panel for nvidia and the document arma3.cfg.

Problem:

So just to be sure it is not something else on my machine, I formatted the drive, reinstalled windows, arma, and the mods. (prior to this, arma was also crashing without the mods)
When I start arma, all looks well, as soon as I try to load a mission in editor, or join a server of any kind, I get a loading screen, which turns black, it flashes, bounces me to desktop. The cursor still looks like its in arma, but the graphic display is not visible. I try to tab back in, and no luck. It just crashes entirely.

I have a rpt and I would like to get some help troubleshooting this.
