ArmA 3 Launcher Not recieving news or latest reports

So recently the launcher is in a continuous loop trying to recieve the latest reports and the News section says "Something has gone haywire, we couldn't get your news". Now this wouldn't be an issue if the game didn't also lag on occasion to the point where my entire PC would lag. It also crashes on occasion when the lag gets really bad. I'd like to point out that I have over 1700 hours on ArmA and it has never done this before.
