Arma 3
.NET Framework is screwing me over
My computer recently had a heart attack and my NET framework got erased magically and when i try to reinstall it it says that that i already have and I cant install it (although this is an entirely different problem) basically the Launcher for ARMA 3 needs .NET Framework and I was wondering if there was any way i could manually enable and disable mods without using the launcher

So you cannot uninstall the microsoft .NET framework usng Unistall in Programs and Features in the control panel?
Cos that was going to be my suggestion and then let game acquire it anew.
You can enable mods via parameters -mod i believe. but as far as I am aware that option is also now bundled in the Launcher.

It is all very strange the net framework disapeared and I found some programs stopped working and they told me I didnt have .NET framework so I tried to install a new version of .NET Framework and it says that I already have it installed. I went to uninstall a program and it isn't even there It is actually gone but it says I have it
Sorry to ask is it an issue with your copy of windows being not genuine by any chance?

Yes it is legit I honestly have no clue what the problem is
It might be the time to uninstall Arma 3 completely and reinstall, always verify game data after and then restart PC before launching game. Hopefully a fresh install will allow it to acquire the correct .NET version.

Hello Zoot,
try to install the latest version of .NET Framework - 4.6.2: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53344
Each version of Windows carries some version with it pre-installed and it won't let you install it separately, but it allows the newer one to install (so success here depends what version of Windows you have).
It that won't work, Microsoft offers two tools to fix the issue:
- Tool to repair the .NET Framework installation: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135
- The nuke tool to remove corrupted .NET Framework installation: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/astebner/2008/08/28/net-framework-cleanup-tool-users-guide/

So i tried the nuke tool after trying the clean up several times and then tried installing the new vesion of the .NET Framework and it failed almost immediatley and said there was a fatal error (no error code was given) i clicked on the log file option and this is what i said
