Looking to buy boxed version of ARMA 3 in US
I checked Best Buy and they dont list it on their site. I bought all my other ARMA games from them. Anyone know of a good store that sells it? Dont want a download version. Thanks!

It will still be a download version. You will still have to use steam. Good luck with finding a box and disk.

There is no official boxed version in North America.

Ok. Didnt know that. Thanks! I just like having the box as much as possible. If I have to DL, then so be it

I understand what you are talking about. Far as having a boxed version of the game. But the drawl back on that is. If the disc is scratched or broken by unseen forces. You won't be able to use the disc anymore. Not saying that you don’t take care of your games. But over time things do happen, that no one has any control over. By downloading it from steam or any where that you buy your games from. You would be able to reinstall your games any time you have to reinstall windows or to upgrade windows. Good luck on what you decide to do.

It has nothing to do with scratched discs or anything. I download the game from steam and use the key code in the box to activate. I just like having a boxed version for my collection. I only care about flight sims, naval sims and military sims when it comes to the box. Anything else can be a DL. Box is always first preference for me. I like going to the store and buying it. Its almost a lost art and almost gone, but while we still can, I want a boxed version if possible.

Official word was that they didn't get a publishing deal in North America, while the retail Steam disc in Europe is published by Morphicon/Peter Games, but I cannot guarantee whether or not those keys are region-locked!

I used to be the same, then steam kept making me give them money. It got so bad I ended up buying games on steam that I already owned physical copies of (but in my defence in some cases discs were scratched/keys lost/loaned out/running in one of the other pcs etc...).

These days I actually prefer to have all my games on steam lol...

This is a question I had regarding Arma 3 boxed, really. I was told that if I buy the DVD/Box version I will get a Steam key and can activate the game on Steam. But does that mean that I can download it on Steam as well? For example, if the DVD is scratched/lost/etc.

I rather have a download or DVD as well, Steam is nice, but risky.
I try to keep steam use to a minimum.
