Arma 3
some AI soldiers go rogue?
sometimes when i play single-player user-made missions, the AI troops i'm leading can be "desconnected" or go "rogue", which means i cannot give them orders anymore, they seem to appear at the map and when i go to see them they don't come back to my squad. this happens when under fire or in a "danger" situation.

does this happen for me only? or is there some people suffer from the same thing?

if you can help me, that'd be great

Did you install any mods? I had one installed that improved firefights by making the ai harder to control. They would even leave your control for a little while. By that I mean their icon would disappear for a little while in a fire fight. Did you install this mod?

Ive only had this happen once.

Unit was stuck prone and did not budge even though combat ended ages ago.
No mods were installed.

Units losing group connection is a feature of the 'Fire-Fight Improvement System' mod, designed to simulate chaos, morale and soldiers acting erratically under fire. Do you happen to be running that mod on your game?

If you do indeed have that mod installed and would like to keep the other features, you can disable the group connection loss by going to the mod's userconfig file, in "ARMA 3/userconfig/zooloo75".

Open up FFIS.hpp in Notepad and set the line

"SS_FFIS_LOSECOMMAND = true"

to

"SS_FFIS_LOSECOMMAND = false"

And that's the very mod my post covered. "Fix" for your problem right there.

Next time you download new mods, make sure you read through the features before installing.
