ArmA 3 Lasers and lights - how to use them?

Been using some of the mod ammo crates which sometimes come with PEQ 15 laser and light combo's just wonder who they work and how to activate them? also if attach just a light how do you get that to work? - managed to get a laser working once using the L key but just seems to be visible when your using night vision?

Both lasers and lights should work with the L key. And yes, lasers are only visible when using night vision.

ok got it thanks - so if U have a combo unit with both light and laser the L should switch both on and off?
is there also a particular key bind in the setup so I can change the assigned key?

You can't have both the tactical flashlight and the laser sight on the same weapon at the same time because they occupy the same attachment slot.

1)actually just tried to attach a flashlight to the weapon but doesnt look like it works (tested it in a house using the L key and no illumanation - tried a laser and it seemed to work although only visible with night vision) - anyone know what is happening or how i can activate the flashlight?on my key mapping strangeley the L just seems to be mapped to headlights!
2)also had a 2nd question - how to u deply a guns bipod? - is this possible yet?(I already use a mod that allows supported firing when your next to a way or similiar) but I mean actually deploy a weapons biposd.

Did you try the flashlight at night? A2-flashlights only worked after certain 'hours', I wouldn't be surprised if this still holds true. Haven't tried it though, I think flashlights are useless. :P

*edit: And no bipod-deployment in vanilla, atleast not yet. Hopefully they'll do it, though.

rage thanks your absolutely right I just got my lights working but only during the night time
during the day even in the house the lights will not work!!!!

You can now! In the upcoming Marksmen DLC. It's going live on 8 April. I just tried them in dev build, they are handy but take some getting used, you kind of pivot around the bipod which limits you in closer engagements. Check: Marksmen DLC preview

...or just try for yourself in the dev build. Can't wait for release, really like the addition bipods and weapon resting.

ON TOPIC: I was wondering, can a CAS jet lock on to the IR laser of a weapon? It would be awesome if you could get laser designate a target with it and have your buddy in the jet drop a bomb on it... Haven't had the time to test it yet, anybody with the experience here?

press the C key in order to deploy bipod

For anyone still trying to figure out, if you do Ctrl+ L it will switch between flashlight and Laser (if you have them equipped)
