Most if not 90% of arma players are legit mature players but there are certain game modes that attract a certain age group and maturity level.
That's sarcasim, by the way. People will be people, and EVERY game (especially on PC) has hackers and trolls. Dont make Arma out to be majestic rarity in the market that was untouched by dbags before CoD or Steam was invented. Like f off already. My server browser is FULL of coop servers, FULL of people enjoying it. You're going to tell me those ten wasteland servers, two stratis lifes and one game of domination wrecked your experience? Please grow up and get real.
Totally right. People don't seem to realise we had hackers and trolls long before DayZ or Wasteland. When there was a rush of new players due to DayZ there was a huge influx of the trolls and hackers but there was also a huge influx of decent players too, gotta take the good with the bad.
As for the threads topic, if you are on a server and believe the admin is cheating find another server. If it's a regular player that you believe is cheating then report it to the admins. They may or may not do anything about it and if the outcome is not what you wanted then either shrug it off and keep playing or again find another server.
I believe there is a vote-to-kick feature but it's up to the server owners if they will enable it or not. Servers can have it that if someone teamkills then the victim can either choose to forgive or punish, punishing them can get them kicked. Basically it all comes down to the people who have the server.
-No theres not an option to get them globally banned.
-No it shouldn't be an option.
-Get over it.
As has been stated, the servers are run by the individual server owners / groups. They have the say and the right to choose who is and who is not banned on their servers. Take a look at the price of renting an Arma game server, it ain't cheap that's for sure and I know if I paid that kind of price I sure as hell would want a say in who plays and who doesn't play on my server. We all run into pricks when gaming, just forget about it and move on because as maddening as it can be it really isn't worth getting chewed up about.
LOL.
