Altis Low FPS and on Statris normal.

Hello, my friend is having a problem on map altis he gets 0-3 FPS on Altis and on Statris up to 30-40. any one elses have similar problem ? or anyone have fixed it ?

His Spec
AMD PHENOM II 945 3,4GHZ
ATI RADEON HD5670 1GB
PATRIOT 2x2GB RAM

Also, this probably won't help, but Altis is HUEG. It takes a lot of stuff to run. I had to turn down my settings.

have you tried turning down our render distance? i turned mine down about 1/4 (if that) and it doubled my fps (i get about 50-80 in sp/editor and about 30 in mp but it does drop on occasion for a few seconds)

I have the same CPU (Though it is overclocked to 3.8ghz) and get crap frames on Altis as well. I use a 64bit windows 7, 660ti GPU and have 8gbs of DDR3.

By crap I mean no more than 20fps.

That's because the game is leaning on your CPU, not GPU. Overclock your processor or maybe do some clean up, maybe you have something slowing down the already bottle necked experience. I.e; spyware, porn, etc.

I had to jack my 3.5(3.9 turbo) up to a solid 4.4 ghz. now it runs like gravy on both maps.

I bet its those windturbines. That many physic object in constant movement can't be good for any cpu.

It's a bug on 32 bit systems. Everyone running 32 bit is (Seemingly) having this problem, as well as some people on 64 bit. :P

ok thanks for all, problem seems to be resvovlved i downloaded FSF arma3 launcher, and put three simple commands cpu count to 4 max mem 3092 and max video 924, and now im plaing on high settings on 27-40 fps :)

This game makes my 3570k(4.7) chug, that's for sure... I also keep noticing below 100% usage, which is strange for a cpu leaning game...

Is this for system mem, or gpu mem... Like, if we have 16-32 gigs we can tell it 4k+?

and what is launcher target line? Is that the insteam option thing people use for turning of grain and what not i nother games?
