In-Game Voice Chat (VON) does not work

Hi I have recently had a problem with my in-game voice chat on ArmA 3. This randomly happened one day a week or two ago, where my name would light up under the chat signaling voice chat, but nobody at all could hear me. I can confirm my mic does work, as I talk on TS3. It seems that it also does not work on ArmA 2. Somebody suggested a re-install, but thats a pain in the as. Any suggestions / help / comments would be great. Thanks.

This is what I would
start
all programs
accessories
sound recorder
start recording test
if that works

then
control panel
sound
see want sound devices you have
recording (yes second one to the right)
pick headset if thats what you use or microphone if thats what you use
set as default run though the properties tab

Now
Steam
settings
voice
set recording audio input device or auto detect
test

next

Start Arma 3
configure
audio
microphone auto adjust

and if you can't get it to work go back to playing with the Xbox

Dude, why be so ignorant at the end of quite a useful post?

I know this issue existed in previous versions of Arma. Sometimes people can't hear others over Arma's VON. Can't tell you why though as my experience of it has just been too random for any fault finding.

You never heard what sounds like one person having a conversation with nobody?

IF all else fails try running Arma 3 as administrator

Are you sure you're talking in the correct voice channel?
A lot of people don't understand that there's multiple channels. Change with period and comma.

yes, but no voice

The same is happening to me, other programs, including steam, can hear my mic. Arma, however, cannot.

i have the same issue for my id does nto work on arma3 and dayz standalone its realy anoying that you cant speak in game xion i have THE SAME issue as you

anyone find the fix... I sroll so it is on purple and it still does not allow me to talk using caps lock on the phone... :(
