Stratis in reallife. Geographical informations in the loading screens are wrong.
The geographical informations for Stratis given in the loading screen of Arma III are wrong.

The right ones are:

Latitude - Longitude:
39.528266,25.009518

Lat: 39° 31' 41.7576"
Long: 25° 0' 34.2642"

An greek island.

It is interessting.
Is this really a military island? Because population cant be far over 100.
Where the airport is in the game, on googlemaps there is just a big fat rock.
The maps are delivered by the US Military Intelligence..

Have a look on that island, you will be impressed how familiar this looks when you did the one or other fight on Stratis..

1) They've already been corrected by the Arma community about coordinates, so it should be correct.
2) No, stratis does not feature a airport in real life. Remember arma is set in it's own universe with it's own events.

Bohemia adds and removes things on the maps as they see fit to make it better for game purposes.
Also just because they use real terrain data does not necessarily mean these places are real. The main island for Arma 3 "Altis" is not the name of the island they actually used for the map the Real Island is called Limnos. In A2 Chernarus obviously is a fake country but the terrain is taken from the North West part of the Czech republic and the coastline of chernarus is actually a river in real life.
