Follow these steps and you will gain more fps.
Thank you.
It's funny because you get two answers from people, one being that you can't do anything about it and the other being a fix.
The irony of both of them are, they are both 100% sure of their answer instead of just saying "I'm pretty sure you can't".
Thanks though.
And things will only ever improve not get worse so i imagine by autumn i will be running at maybe 100+. maybe an exageration but i will not stop trying.
It seems that now-a-days everyone has an opinion on something without actually having any knowledge about it.
Or they think that becaus they haven't seen it or encountered it, clearly it doesn't exist.
Silly people.
I appreciate your thread with the fix, I tried them also, but they didn't work for me (and I tried A LOT of fixes, not only yours :D) ;) that's why I say that depends on the server (from my experience).
Example - Wasteland: A server with 40 players in it with the serverside FPS fix, runs smooth as heaven. A server with 20 players stutters like hell.
Yeh server makes a big diffrence this post is intended for people who even struggle to download the game its the basics i bet some of them have norton anti virus 1998 running in the background this helps you just run your machine to the max , with 0% cpu usage of crap when game is running.
Yeah i've seem to be having more issues with 404 Wasteland servers than anything else.
I'll join objective based servers and sometimes the lag won't be nearly as bad as the Wasteland servers.
It also sucks if there is a higher player count because in servers like this, you want to be able to actually encounter players as it seems that a large majority of people playing Wasteland, etc are just running around doing nothing or shooting their teammates too.
I hope by the time they release this soon, these types of issues get fixed soon.
I've also spoken to other people on these servers where i'm getting lag and they're playing on High also with like 60fps while I get like 25fps in High with pretty much the same set up.
I know a good part of my problem is my older q6700 Intel Core 2 Quad Cpu that's at 3.09 GHZ, but all the parts i'm using are well maintained too as even my motherboard from that time was the old 790i Ultra, and it's stacked with 10gigs of DDR3 ram running a Nvidia Reference GTX 660ti that is slightly OC'd.
Plenty of HDD space too and plenty of power going through my PC with my PSU.
Also, everything is always up to date and my copy of Windows 8 is 100% legit, as i've seen people with illegal copies having small problems with FPS dips in other games too from time to time, not sure why, but it has happened.
That and my internet connection is around 50x25 mbps with a gaming grade router, so it's certainly NOT that either.
It's common to see people with a kink in their hardware or internet having issues, but besides the CPU that is creating some bottle necking with the GTX 660ti, none of that is the case.
I do however need to upgrade and will be upgrading my CPU and Mobo by the start of Fall so if this issue keeps going on, i'm sure the upgrade might help a bit too and eventually i'll have to stick around 660ti in here in SLi too, but for now my 660ti plays just about everything on Ultra well, so I can't complain.
I copied that in my main post thanks for the tip but already on it =).
