When I try to start Arma 3 the loading screen comes up and then just dissappears after a split second.

Idk, i don't own win8 but forget it, it's supposed to work out of the box on win8 from other peoples feedback.
You have no error message or anything when it crash ?

I see "9.17.10.2867" and the last one on intel site is "9.18.10.3165"

deactivate steam ingamecommunity under: settings > in play> stick with activate steam community in play deactivate ..... it's worth a try
