Alienware X51 / upgrade to new GTX 770 card ?

Has anyone upgraded there X51 to one of the new GTX 770 cards as i hear they are smaller and maybe less power hungry as the X51 only has a 330 watt power brick supply ?

Yes thanks for the link, 230 watts max should be ok that leaves 100 watts for the other components, and these new cards are smaller in design, could work well.
If anyone has success with the new GTX cards let us know.

Just a cpu can use 100-150 watts, I thought you had 330 watts spare, but this is your total output?

What gfx you have atm?

The X51 has an i3-3220 and a GTX645, so pretty bad ;) you would need a PSU with ~450W to be able to supply the 770 and the remaining system.

You won't be able to fit one of these cards in your system. From the looks of it your case looks like its a micro-atx.

My Advice return this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ alienware.....thake that money and build your own PC with an i5 atleast in it. Also make sure to get a full atx case....also get atleast a 600w PSU.

Yes i got an i7 with a GTX 660 in it and ARMA 3 runs on very high settings with no issues, just wondered if anyone has tried one of the new GTX 770 cards in the small case as it may well fit and should be smaller than a GTX 670 with less power consumption bro's.
