Loss of Chat and radio subtitle text

I can enter chat, and send messages on a server, but I cannot see my message or anyone elses in the bottom left of my HUD. Radio subtitles do not appear either. Suggestions?

Hello sir, i have the exactly same problem, and i'm looking for help also, i have been reading other links n' stuff, some say its a bug and 2BeFixed, im not sure, but i hope so, i cannot find any fix or related, but we ain't the only one's. Its frustrating, but now i know how it is to be ''Blind' at the battlefield, you could just throw the radio and go ''Lone Wolf'' :P

Help us please, its a great game n' all but if this bug exists, it decreases the fun, alot.

Tip: Use voice chat.

I did finally get my text to reappear, I went into my game options and disabled "stream friendly UI". Im not sure why I had it turned on, or what it is supposed to do. Thanks for responding and trying to help out!

Yeah, this is 100% a bug that results from the addition of the Stream friendly UI, if you have the issue ensure that this feature is disabled. If you stream however make sure it's disabled so that you don't get all stream sniped. An awesome feature.

Mine is the other way around, I can chat, but cannot talk. Other people cannot hear me talk, but my mic works.

Recently there was another bug that has appeared where the Name display when someone is using Voice in Game doesnt show who is talking. Not certain if this is tied in with any other chat problems

This is an option for servers. Some servers allow it, some don't.

Also, for the OP, the problem starts when you hit ESC and go to the pause menu. To avoid losing your chat, don't hit ESC. You can still use it to exit the gear menu though, just don't open the pause menu with it. If you need to ALT-Tab out of game and don't want to fire upon returning, lower your weapon with 2x CTRL.

no... disabling of ,,stream friendly AI,, re-appeared just part of notifications like ,,joined game etc.. ,, but not radio and game chatter... none of this work.. its really annoying it came with last update i guess,,

The same thing happend to me, "subtitles" were gone.. i did disable Super AI, and then they reapeared

At me it does work now again, since last Update. Disable Steam own UI and it works again.

none of this worked for me. It's only doing it in the Z.O.R.T Mod i thnk. Anyone have any ideas?
