Multiplayer chat channel

i don't manage to activate the chat channel to chat with other players when i play online... somebody help me??

First make sure you are talking in the right channel: with "," and "." you can change it [Global (to all players from all sides), Side(just to players from your side), group (everyone in your group), Direct (to everyone in 40 m around you) and Vehicle(everyone in the same vehicle)] then press "-" to type or "capslock" to speak.

yes, i know... but i want use the text chat... i see that some player write text messages that appear in blu color in down edge of the screen while playing online... Is it possible?... sorry, my english is not good

then press "-" to type after you selected the channel you want to type in...

Hi Iadegio6495, the difference in colours in the text that you see highlight the different modes that the text was transmitted in. For example, typing in "Side Channel" will produce blue text, typing in "Vehicle Channel" will produce yellow text.

sorry, i don't understand completely CabaLjb, if i press "-" ,after i selected the channel, i can write text message to other players?? is it wright?

It really depends on what key you bound your chat key to. Mine is by default, "/". Once you press that key, you can chat with other players.

Yes. Just write and press "Enter" to send it. The channel will stay the same afterwards...so if you don´t change it, you will always write in it.
Edit Marcus is right: "-" it is on my keyboard because I have a german layout...maybe check your keybindings to be sure.

Hi Marcus, i know this, my problem is that i don't understand how send text message while i play, in fact i saw the others player exchanged text message in down edge of the screen

is it different the layout?? i maybe have a USA layout because my pc is DELL, anyway i read the field manual and it says that i press "/" to open the text chat but when i press it open the default communication menu, that is the same of offline, i can't write own message but i just select the default option, like mount disimbark hold fire red team...
