Arma 3
Controls from HELL
the keyboard an mouse controls need to be simplified a hell of a lot in this game like E to enter and exit a vehicle , mouse scroll button to ZOOM an so on . way to many button combos to remember in this game

No. No they do not. If you are judging a game by the controls then it is not the right game for you. If you really wan't to "dumb down" your controls then by all means do it. There is a keybinding settings, but you would have many disadvantages agenst other players. The controls in this game give it the feel it has, the type of game it is. Also, these controls are amazing for filtering out people that are not willing to learn all there is to lean about this game, including the controls. Such as immature kids or people that don't really give a ♥♥♥♥ about the communtity and just want to kill without any form of team work, so in other words... The controls are not gunna be "dumbed down" just because a few people are complaining that it is too complicated.

The controls are simple enough, after awhile they're second nature.

The only games I have issues with are games that force you to use certain keys OR some keys are hard coded and cannot be re-mapped.....

Arma gives you a fantastic amount of freedom and option to re-map any key you wish!

So... I suggest you re-map the keys to suit your stlye, sit back and enjoy!

I don't understand how anyone can complain when they give you the option to choose :)

Same here, Just takes practice, FSX is just a game, ARMA is a War sim.

mrunbelieveable, though I'd have to agree with you for your last post, why not give it a try and learn to utilize the weapon selection process that BI has developed for you?

I'm pretty sure you learnt how to switch weapons for other FPS when you were first exposed to them right?

I've been playing for awhile and have never come across situations where I had to press a 3 button combination to react to.

If this is what gets on your nerves I would highly recommend a submission to the developers via a bug tracker to suggest improvements for the game rather than taking a laid back approach and crying foul over button configuration. Remember, when we got the game, we are also making our voices heard through suggestions to the developers.

Have a good day.

yer i will be doing quiet a long bug tracking report for them , good luck to any newbies who wana give this game a go, like a playstation guy he,ll throw the game in the bin trying to work it all out over complicated games ive found never do very well on the large scale like COD an BF3 do cause they make it easy to work with not like trying to fly the space shuttle

The controls are fairly easy to learn, honestly.

If you prefer games like COD and Battlefield, very well.

I am new to arma series, and at first it was really painfull to learn the controls as i am used to simple controls from BF3. But after a while i got the hang of it. And its quite logic when you learn it. With practice, you will too.

The "game" itself is quite slow paced so you wont need a hot-key for entering a vehicle and so on.

I was shocked by control first time playing too. Specificaly a zooming. But after few hours playing i addapted well to default control system. First time its seems like too complicated but its cause your character can do many differrent things. More than in other games. And after few hours playing you will adapt to this control too.
