marking nav marker on map?

i forget how to mark a navigation marker on the map so that it shows when im in game so I know where to go. I can do the black circle x thing on my map, but I can't do the waypoint so i can see it when im playing in game. please help i forget how to do this it's been a while. thanks.

I don't know if it's available in A3, but in A2 it's shift-leftclick on the map.

yes its the same command... shift+leftclick

Now I feel extra dumb for autohovering to look at the map while ferrying players and missing the LZ anyway.
