This application has failed to start because d3d11.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
So today, I just bought Arma III Alpha. Whenever I try to run it, I get this error: This application has failed to start because d3d11.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

I reinstalled the game bit it didn't fix anything, I still get the error.

Do your gfx card and OS support DX10/11? If not then there isnt much you can do. It states it very clearly in the system requirements that a minimum requirement is DX10. If your OS and card DO support Dx10/11 then go here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 or here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 to download the most recent Direct X runtimes or to download the easier-to-use web installer respectively

first thing to do is try graphics card driver update.

you can download just about any .dll file, just google it, download it, and put it into the game folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3
If that doesn't work put it into C:\Windows\System32

No!! No!! A thousand times NO!! The last thing you need to do is download a bunch of DLLs (unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing) and screw yourself over more. Just install directx via the website

Now it says The Procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory1 could not be located in the dynamic library dxgi.dll

What graphics card are you using? If it is intel intergrated graphics then just give up. Not intended for gaming and will give you more trouble than reward.

Thats your problem, you need SP2 and a kb**** that add DX11 compatibility.
