helicopter controls

Hi i cant get my mouse to move the helo all i do is look around when moving it. ive tryed the keys to switch to freelook etc but nothing makes the mouse link to the helo controls for flying.
any help appreciated thanks

Are you using the default keys or custom ones?
Your Alt key isn't stuck is it?

not that i see listy, which key locks the mouse to moving the chopper just so i know if im hitting the right keys, no using default keys

Double tap [Left Alt] do disable freelook. When it is not working, check your key setup in the option menu.

Hi listy, no its setup ok and when im out of the chopper freelook works properly, its only in the chopper the mouse goes back into freelook mode and wont come out of it

I just tested for myself and wasn't able to reproduce the problem with the newest dev branch.
Are you using a special keyboard or keyboard layout? Also, search the feedback tracker feedback.arma3.com for your isse. Maybe it is related to some special computer hardware you share with other guys, don't know.

Hi phnord no im just using a standard qwerty board and i dont share hardware with anyone. Maybe something to do with updates as i was able to fly properly about a week ago, anyways thanks for all the help ive received

With "sharing" I meant the possibility you may have some special hardware, like a Logitech multigameing keyboard or whatever, that you have in common with other players.

In arma 2 the key for that option was the " * " key on the numpad to the right. Try that

Hi sorry not very techy around computers, i have a standard logik ultraslim keyboard as a temp replacement until i get a new gaming keyboard. The free look key works in infantry mode but not in the chopper, in it im locked in free look all the time, im stumped

Sounds like a bug, also I can't explain why others don't experience it. When you are sure that your key bindings are correct (Options->Control->View->Freelook) you should search the feedback tracker for this issue. If you can't find a ticket, open one.

Is it just the choppers or the same with the cars aswell? You really should try stuff like this before posting.

Use a hardwired 360 controller and customise your controls, also use your search filter and look up "TDM 100Mbit" in arma 3 if youre up for a bit of a battle later its a sector control mission based at the airport

Its cars as well and you could ask me before ticking me off. i will open a ticket if there isnt one as it looks like a bug and everthing else is in order as regards bindings anyways thanks for all help
