Anybody figured out the role selection bug?

Hey, I'm one of the lucky few that can't select a role in the multiplayer lobby. I have been looking for solutions for the last couple of days, just wondering if anyone else has figured out how to fix this little problem.

I know this probably isn't the issue, but have you tried waiting a minute or two?

I have a gtx 660 and an i5-2400 but in a lot of lobbies I freeze for 1-2 minutes, then after that everything quickly becomes useable again.

Generally I know i'm frozen when I can't open other teams or scroll down the list, but it always clears up in the end.

I'm using the Asus g46vw with a 660m 2gig card, i5-3230. I get the same "hangup" sometimes as well when the lobby first pops up, but even when I am able to select which team I want to join it is still impossible to select a role.

The only way I can play multiplayer currently is to either create my own server (lets me select a role) or if the host manually assigns me a role.

well i'd like to revive this because... still since I got this game a long time ago... I have not been able to play multiplayer.

This is stupid to not be able to do anything.

On some servers it takes a while for me too. maybe 1-2 minutes before i can select anything
