No good WW2 mods
So all of the mods shows Japan as a "Blufor" type of unit which as we know according to history is actually incorrect. Aside from that near 98% of the mods out there about WW2 are based on the German forces.

I don't see any accurate representation of WW2 Japan whether it's terrains, uniforms, vehicles, planes or ships. Same goes for the Marines, very little in the way of WW2 for them and honestly it is frustrating. The European theater seems to have been a walk in the park in comparison to the island hopping campaign of the pacific. I cannot make mods as I don't know how, nor does my laptop (a windows 8 lol) have the capacity to do such a task. But yeah that's my complaint.

Am I the only one annoyed by that? I hope not.

Japan is Blufor because so are the Germans and Italians. I'm not sure about terrains and uniforms but I suppose if you'll look hard enough you'll find them. For navy and air I use naval and flying legends mods.

Because in the IFA44 mod, the Germans were Blufor, and Soviets were Redfor. Redfor because the Soviets use.. a red flag.

And then, when the Americans got added, they got the Indfor-treatment.

And now every mod copies that for compatibility.

Simple.

Clearly did not look hard enough or used the correct search terms to find the plentiful mods out there

It's honestly not that big of a deal. They're blufor due to convenience.

Julius it kind of is a big deal. Is it somehow less convenient to get it right when the Allied powers are marked as independent or Opfor? It doesn't make sense. Why not actually mark them as they were?

Accuracy and attention to detail will always matter.

but bluefor and opfor and indipendend is all Dependent? plus u can just make compositions of the units in whatever way U want them for.

its only an issue for u it seems couse playing a mission u dont care if ur opfor or bluefor or indipendent or not? And as a zeus it dosnt mess up anything either.

The side that the faction is on determines what makes for a "good" WW2 mod? This is news to me. Just make a patch for it if you care that much, it doesn't take a monster PC to do so. But yes, the amount of Japanese content out there is lacking and most of it is within the Faces of War mod.
Just to confirm, the original faction choices for Germany being BLUFOR and Soviets being RED was purely because it's Germany in the WEST and Soviets being in the EAST. The developers at that time, over 10 years ago, likely had no idea it was going to expand to this level.
