can you take a town by force in antistasi ultimate?
i mean, it is faster than having to do tasks and stuff, and it is convenient too and it does make sense to have that as a feature, but can you actually do it?

Important element of war are politics and social support for a case. Taking towns by force and establishing military order is something that create resistance. Antistasi = Resistance. IMHO mechanic like this would be extremely out of place.

Answering the question, no, it is no possible atm, at least in AU.

good point, yeah i guess it would be out of place, though, you do have rival resistance groups in AU so you would also have to do anti-insurgent operations but good points all in all

Get to the town - kill the cops that are patroling the town (normally 2 to 6 cops per town) - and capture nearby Administration/Military Base/Outposts - then you should quite quickly get the support of the town.

Unless Ultimate (or Plus) modified it, Antistasi Community (of which Plus is descendant and Ultimate is descendant of Plus) has the town population decide if they like you by majority vote. Depending on what you do, or fail, they start to like you or not more than the occupying force. Do missions succesfully and kill enemies. (And don't do missions that hurt the towns/population, like robbing banks or money convoys if there are)

You can't directly control the towns choice by force.

i think both are same in terms of support mechanics, but this was very informative so thx.

I mean, there are SQF commands to force a specific town to be converted to a certain side. But that will change over time due to whoever has nearest radiotower control and the enemy patrols passing by. But I guess that is not what you meant with "by force". Because that is not really playing.
