and low gpu usage... fix?

probably upgrade your CPU since this game is CPU intensive, or you are using too much stuff at once then nothing really helps
Yeah, I thoughti d get better performance with a 3060 over a 1060.....though yeah, my CPU is still the Ryzen 2600 6 core thing.

Unfortunately, due to the way the game was designed, the processor is heavily taxed and poorly utilised. Really the best bet you have to to have the highest clocks possible on your CPU. The only other options really are to try and ensure as much of the load as possible is shifted off the CPU and to the GPU where available. Things like shadows are usually a CPU intensive task and disabling them can improve performance a little bit.

I am by no means an expert on this subject but there are various guides and explainers in the community done by people who are much more experienced and knowledgeable than I.

I'm sorry, I don't think there is much else you can do besides the tweaking guides which may or may not improve the situation.

This game will rarely run at a good frame rate for most people, especially in busy areas or servers with many players and assets moving about.

Sadly really....the ♥♥♥♥ performance *really* takes away ALOT from the game. Its hard to enjoy a milsim shooter when your running around with a very un-realistic 12 FPS. Nothing like walking into a room and enemies not even rendering and then you drop dead only to see the enemy right beside you....

The 15 FPS when im in a 10 man squad vs 40-50 FPS when im solo must be why I get so much more done in thisgame when im solo.......

I agree completely, it's the sad reality of this game however.
The game uses 4 cores from your processor really heavily, also uses high amounts of RAM, and benefits a lot from a larger cpu cache and higher ram speeds.

I didn't see a big improvement from a 4790k to a 10700k and from a GTX680 to an RTX2080, both with 64GB ram.
Game is outdated.

The bit about cores and hyperthreading...whats he sayin? The video is kinda quiet.....

He has 4 cores but with hyper threading puts in 8? So my 6 core Ryzen 5 2600 id put 12?

I have the same CPU and i have the 4060Ti ,, it runs perfect on my side.
Do you have good RAM speed for the the CPU and GPU ,, i run on 32GB 6000Mhz.
Only thing what runs on my system is win 11, steam and Arma 3 for good preformance in gameplay.

Read the ARMA 3 performance guides, specifically the ini file tweaks and the launcher options. Also ingame view distance and object view distance make a huge performance difference in this game. Make sure your bios in configured properly to match your hardware, make sure you understand what the settings in the Nvidia control mean and do. You can also try custom memory allocators for Arma 3, made a huge difference for me. Dont know how well they work for anti cheat though, you are on your own.

there is a new version btw.

What I have done is use Windows to increase the cores used by CPU to max availible and checked the memory used to the max at system start up. I think this is in the power settings and will improve somewhat whatever you run. The downside is that it will generate more heat and wear and tear.

Im running the Ryzen7 5800x3d / 4070ti / 4 sticks of DDR4 16GB each @ 3200. FPS / quality are good. Running all visual settings on Extreme and still pushing 150 and up FPS inconsistently. I did lower the voltage going to my CPU which instantly corrects the CPU temp. This game is heavy on the CPU, which my system can handle, but it still causes bottlenecks. I've only been playing for 2 days so I'm still tweaking my settings as I go.
