download the MCC sandbox editor (its an ingame Editor with a 3D placement tool). Contained within it is a artillery drop menu as well a menu for an evac chopper and CAS with jets and varities of vehicles. Check armaholic for it. To do it in the Editor itself you need to use the virtual artillery and then the spec-ops so you can control it.

Download MCC sandbox editor it will save your hours of anguish if you're not used to the Editor or scripting.

For most the modules work only 80% of the time without some scripting. Artillery requires you to script in a trigger via the radio to control artillery from the sec-op manager. It is why i suggest the MCC sand box editor as it just works really well.

Both options work pretty well. If you are building a mission for the workshop, you probably want to make it work without mods unless the whole mission is based around mods. Using the requester and support modules don't require any scripting. You don't really want to force people to use MCC in missions because they will end up abusing its power. "Arty strike?! Why not a CAS, UAVs, and tanks too!" MCC is great for making missions on the fly, but to try to get others to then play your mission is tough. You can save it and then send some one a text document, but that's not common practice. If you want your mission to be more advanced and included "earned" arty, then that will need scripting. But to just offer some HE rounds to the player, all you need is the two modules.

Im talking simplistically speaking making the virtual artillery work correctly the first time without a single script is nearly impossible. The worst you have to do is add a single trigger to a radio command when it comes to scripting but for some even that is far too difficult. MCC is just too much fun not to use. I use it as a tactical GPS/support drop. The artillery i even drop on myself sometimes as if the enemy *sniker* rolled up a piece and began firing upon my men.

Some people dont want others to play their mission. I only bring up MCC as its simple to use, requires only CBA_OA add on and thats about it.

Wait a requester module? well at least they fixed that OA bug. Well MCC aint needed as much if you got that, but still its far too fun to use.

I have not tried the virtual artillery. I usually just place a 3 man mortar team or a M4 Scorcher and link the modules to that and then the team leader. Always works as expected. I personally love MCC. My group uses it on a daily basis. One person makes the mission for everyone else and controls things while we play. Some times the mission maker is on our side, sometimes hes on the enemy side... or sometimes he is the HVT or hostage. It works great.

I say stick to ingame assets rather than MCC for making mission for other on the workshop. If its people you know will understand MCC and not abuse it, then it works great. Other times, people cant seem to leave it alone and end up blowing up a bunch of stuff and killing people.

Yeah hate when they abuse the MCC. For me i spend more time with it just keeping the mission on track if you will (say a squad is way off target, a simple clear radius of them and a replacement to where they should have been).
