it's absolutely fine.

Allow yourself to recover if you've just exerted yourself, get into the best stance available, adjust your aim taking into account bullet dop, hold breath and shoot.

As in real life you might not hit a moving enemies head from 900 metres with your first shot every time, but it is possible.

If you are trying to no scope full auto from a standing position after sprintiing up a hill if you are going to struggle.

are you holding your breath for each shot?? (Holding down right mouse button). also, always shoot in prone.

it depends on the situation, if I'm suppressing then i may not even aim properly, if I am trying to take out a specific threat at distance then yes, i will probably go prone or at least kneel behind cover and hold my breath for each shot, if it's close quarters then i won't need to and therefore don't.

Because "holding breath" is equally poor implemented.

if you mean thet the gun still moves around slightly then I reckon that is a fair representation of real world physics.

If you think holding your breath should suspend the gun is some magical state of static immovability then you are probably playing the wrong game, holding breath only slightly reduces sway and mildly increases the shooters control over the weapon, precisely as it would in real life.

I know in CoD the gun freezes on the target when you hold your breath but that is because it's an arcade shooter designed to make 11 year olds feel like a pro

You wrong because, how he saied somebody here,it's look like in real life, but requires specifying that he was referring to a person afflicted with Parkinson's disease, but other than that .....it's absolutely perfect.

Then begins to enter into this perspective and see what fun! :-)

PS.

I still can not believe how a software company, former specializes in SIM-Game,can give to drink this thing is really credible, and you can find people even claim that it is real .

The power of persuasion which has the virtual world...it's unbelived!

Perhaps the answer is in the era of 2035 title, that not one young person wants to go to war and will be enrolled only elderly people...maybe.

...LOL!

You're right my son,and forgive me if i call you so, but after your claim CoD, i think you're too young for me,because i've never played in that series.

But if you try me, with arguments or video detectable, that you're right about that....ridiculous Sway Effect,i will uninstall the game and i'll give you my serial key of ArmA III to you, for play with your kid friends.

But if you lose, you will change Nick to...Sgt_M0R0N, and you will not comment never more on Steam.

I think you have wrong customer to make certain assertions out of place, but anyway,i always keep my promises.

Do you accept this challenge...kiddo?

PS.

That kind swing, could be real, if you are standing position with a large caliber rifle with a 16 X optical, and in fact every heavy rifles get incorporated, for stabilizing, the famous bipods!...by the way....i often wonder why we can not use yet it! :)

I've noticed ArmA has an unrealistic accuracy system. E.g, when aiming down the sights, all your shots become far more accurate. When you hipe fire, the bullets seem to bend and split anywhere within the crosshairs.

Thanks for the reply..but my question was aimed at the original poster to help his problem with the game

I agree, using a keyboard and mouse is much different than holding a rifle. but, since we don't have VR yet, you will just have to deal with it. That and the clunky engine that is about a step backwords from ps1 games.

wish there was a bipod deploy . its funny because if you aim on outside view the cursor doesnt move at all but you can see the gun moving/aiming around alot
Haggis Dec 9, 2014 @ 6:22pm
I completely agree with OP, it's like you're drunk, too much sway. And it's not consistant either.

There are useable bipods in the game. Look for a mod by the name of TMR(also includes autorest feature when next to cover)

There is also a mod called grace sway that reduces the sway as well
