Arma 3
Playwithsix - want to play without its list of mods sometimes
hey guys. thank you for taking the time to read this. I had downloaded all of my own mods for arma III and was playing it happily. I recently joined a gaming group and they had all of their mods on playwithsix, so I subscribed, created an account, and downloaded the mods (took hours...) Anyway.. I was told that when I wanted to launch ArmaIII with the gaming group mods, I should make the list active on playwithsix and launch it from there. If I wanted to use my own mods, to just launch it normally not through playwithsix.

the issue is, either way it uses the playwith six list. I thought that maybe at somepoint during the download when i got asked if I wanted to replace, or copy, the mods I already had downloaded on my own but were also includeed in playwithsix's, I may have fudged it somehow.

But when I go check the Arma3 file in x86/steam/steamapps/common/arma3 it only shows the mods I downloaded. In other words... the only place I SEE the downloades from playwithsix is when I open the PWS program.

does anyone know how I can switch between the two?

If you read this far, thanks a ton.

I don't want to manually go into extensions every time and uncheck and recheck what i want to use....

Since you're using Play WithSix anyways, you could probably create a second, empty (or one that includes your former mods) collection and launch that one whenever your feel like playing without the gaming group's mods.

You may be able to find the other files in Libraries/Documents/Arma3. If so you can launch Arma3 launcher go into, I think parematers and find the box where it says addons or mods you can also link the said folder. If I am understanding you correctly, you could copy/paste the files from your steam folder and put them into the documents/arma3 folder where playwithsix will see them.. You can use them that way and as Justus stated make multiple collections/playlists, but as for updating you may need to reaquire from the site or however you see fit. Take care
