FPS drops on king of the hill servers

my fried is having fps drops on koth server he gets in plays like 5 min max the n the texture are starting look ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and having fps drops

Its the perfomance , the performance in koth is nasty and unplayable with an bad PC!

Tell him to upgrade his comp . With my setup i get 50 fps outside the main battle zone and 25 to 30 fps in the battlezone and thats about as good as it gets

Unfortuantly i also struggle with KOTH servers... others may be able to play at 25fps but i cannot, the experience is far too choppy to be enjoyable unfortuantly :-(

Check this guide out. KOTH was the reason I was looking for tweaks to improve my Arma frames. Every other server I ran on did great, until I played on the KOTH servers. I love the mission type, but it made my system cry. There were a couple different things I did do compared to the guide in the video settings section. I suggest use it as a base, and tweak to your own system requirements. The contig program was probably the most useful I think. It's a program defragmenter you can run every time you start Arma or any program you want to run faster. Let me know if you need any help getting though the guide. Strange, i get an average of 40FPS in fire fights and 70 fps outside of city with just an i5 4690k and a r7 240 lol.

I get lots of variation too..mainly on joining servers for the initial 1min or so gets ok after that. 40-60fps only gtx970 + i5-3570k. Im using Razor Cortex to disable any programs running in the background etc..may be helping idk edit: it may also help to verify integrity of game cache

and

dont forget to close the arma launcher in the background once you are in game, cos it causes laags.
