3GL VS EGLM

Any advantage taking a EGLM rather than a MX and a 3GL?

I really have a hard time seeing a difference other than... Well, all the armies have normal launchers and NATO has an OP one.

Can somebody explain me?

Not really, as the 3GL rounds weigh exactly the same as 3 individual rounds, but only having 1 40MM round makes you more conservative with your ammo.

The EGLM (electronic grenade launcher module) was planned but not implemented. It's supposed to tell you how far you have to raise the gun in order to hit your target with a 40mm grenade after measuring distance and angle. In my opinion it would be much more useful than the 3GL system.
