ARMA 3 does not want to start SOLVED

I'm starting the game, then there is the loading symbol on my pointer - but nothing happens. When you look at the processes at the same time, you can see that Arma 3 opens, but then it just closes instantly. So Arma 3 doesn't start. Can anybody help?

Open up your Task Manager and see if the game is running. If it is, right click and End Task. Also, are you running the game or the launcher that's causing this? Did you try running the launcher then launching the game as well?

Having the same probelm, only started occuring somtime this week... no idea what to do...

I have the same problem, no error message or anything else. Just the loading symbol but no start up. Just deleted and reinstalled it, nothing happend. I hope anyone can help.

I already did this with the task manager, but it closes by itself anyways, so I don't need to close it manually ^^ I tried to start the normal game over Steam, and also over the Arma 3 Launcher - same problem there..

Same problem here, Steam window "preparing to launch" appears for a second, and then nothing.

[MAYBE SOLVED] Guys I don't really know why it is working now, but I just did an Backup from Arma 3. Right click on Arma 3 in your Steam library and click on save game files. I did this and suddenly it's working O.o

I can confirm that. Just did the Backup and now it´s working.

Yes, if it still doens't work tell me, think there's also another way to fix it but not sure.

Nothing ive found works for me. The only way i can ever get it to fix is run chkdsk on restart and let it do that whilst i sleep it works for the most part

i found the issue but i dont know how to fix, the problem is with battleye; i spammed play button than battleye crashed, the launcher asked me if i want to launch Arma3 without battleye and than game opened, you can open the game but can't join the multiplayer games, ill try to update or whatever ı need to do, ill write here the solution

guys if u have any kind of programs that might effect battleye, turn them off, i was using a bot for a mmorpg game i turned it off my problem SOLVED

Having the same problem here. Done everything that has been suggested above but my A3Launcher keeps going into background processes and doesn't show. Please help :/

I used to have this problem. I used to have to have a mod set as a launch parameter for it to work. But now I have a new computer and it works fine for me

Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > Common > Arma 3
then lauch the battle eye launcher
worked for me
