I'll agree that the campaign is abit...slow, but for me it was okay.
I'am waiting until Marksmen is fully released so I can do it over again, because it will be like a whole different game with the new features making Inf combat easier
Either play it or don't.
The SP campaign though is too much hollywood for a game of a sim nature. I have enjoyed it enough to play it through though, and currently doing it all again so I still think its acceptable.
But as people said, there are countless of community made scenarios thanks to the amazing editor and theres also the multiplayer.
All in all, Arma3 is amazing value for the money, much MUCH more so then most other games released the past years and im really looking forward to the expansion hopefully arriving this year.
