McAfee and ArmA3
You have certainly heard that, the McAfee Internet security (AntiVirus) is deleting the Arma3-executable due to a false positive. So here is my question:

When you are using McAfee together with ArmA3, can you say how to configure the McAfee (gaming mode or exclusion list)? Please post here!

It is often necessary to use an uninstall-program for firewalls, can you point to a official McAfee-Removal tool?

Which Freeware application can you recommend to replace McAfee?

I think of programs such as Avira or Avast, both are free antivirus 2015.
Please drop a line here, which one you are using, from where to download it and why you can recommend it.

Sorry to hear you're having problems but McAfee is one of the worst program to run...

Try this one...http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/security-essentials-download

Been running it since they released it years ago and very please with it & it's free from Mircosoft . Zero Virus to the date.. ol' you never turn off your firewall to install any programs. That's what it's there for to stop unwanted stuff on your system. If you download it , don't turn off McAfee before you install the other one. it'll tell you when to turn it off..

^+1. Yes it's M$ and I don't usually like to recommend many of their solutions for ANYTHING, but in this case I can confirm that Security Essentials is a very capable system. I've got this installed on all my systems and have never had an issue with malware -- ofc you have to still be proactive and understand what you're doing wrt infection vectors, etc., but you wouldn't be doing anything dodgy anyway ;-)

Security Essentials + MalwareBytes Anti-Malware + Common Sense. That last one seems to be the hardest to find these days... :-P

IMPORTANT:
Do Not download and save MCPR for future use. MCPR is updated periodically as new products are released, and running an older version might cause problems with new products. Always return to this article and download MCPR again when you need to run it.

McAffee is worse than viruses.

I use AVG, but there are other good solutions as long as you completely rid yourself of McAffee. I had a network provider that offered McAffee for free, and I thought, how bad could it be? Answer: it's pure evil.
