It's not about that, it's about principles.
I refuse to buy Marksmen DLC because I don't want to support the idea of paying for scoped weapons.
We have to adapt to it ... .
The reason for the uselessness is the same reason DLC's are useless in terms of Farming Simulator, all your friends needs to have it to be usable.
So if I bought it, I could only enjoy it solo and not with friends who may not want or can't pick up the DLC as the ad screen gets really annoying.
I still have to dodge the assets when I am building a quick mission in the map editor to avoid the DLC stuff.
Not to mention that BI merely supplies the assets, if you're worried about balance in PvP or something like that, you have the server owners or mission makers to blame. Though honestly I see no problem at all.
