Arma 3
Is it worth it still?
Is it worth to buy all DLC`s?
Is the game still alive like 10 yrs ago?

One rabbi will say yes, and another rabbi will say no. Wait for sale (multiple times of the year), buy it all for the price of pack of cigarettes and find out. Not much to lose here.

Big game, with tons of pros and not less of cons - still alive after ten years, still updated, still getting tons of mods, gamble and find out.

It is on sale right now. BUT. from the other point of view there is an Arma Reforger, will it maybe replace arma 3 ?
Why do you think "Arma Reforger" which is a tech demo will replace Arma 3.
Also Arma 4 is said to have a release date in 2027.

Arma Reforger is fun but it is just a test bed. Arma 3 is still very good mind you I spend most of my time in it in single player. If you're interested in multiplayer I would go with Reforger.

Arma reforger = fortnite+COD version of "arma". It is a circus in multiplayer and was made for console&casual COD players
A3 is a more serious game with a lot of depth and overwhelming amount of content.
So it depends on what type of games you prefer.
Get it now as it is on sale - try it for 2 hours - if you dont like it refund it.

aight imma just give my portion of the take here. Arma 3 is pretty fun actually! if you have played Squad or Insurgency, than this game is essentially the same. but what makes this game stands out from the rest is the Sandbox aspect to it and the MIlsim.

Arma 3 on its own is pretty meh in my opinion. to enhance that experience, you'll have to get the mods from the workshop. the differences are like night and day.

But majority of people bought this game because of the Clan Milsim. To see some clan milsim footage, you could just lookup some gameplay on youtube. if you find a suitable clan to play with, trust me you'll be having fun! i've found some great chaps back in 2018, and till this day i still talked to them!

About Arma Reforged: It's basically a tech demo for the upcoming arma 4. to put it simply, its like putting the new bohemia engine to arma game setting pretty much.

Conclusion: If you're getting arma 3 just for playing the multiplayer alone, this game is not for you. Though i'm not really knowledgable on Dayz/ Epoch Mod for arma 3. Joining a clan really amplifies this game experience by a lot!! you dont need to join a super strict clan to have fun, just find a clan that is pretty chill!

You "milsim" guys are insufferable. There are plenty of multiplayer servers and mods with lots of people playing. + there are coop missions.
What are you talking about.

Steam doesn't monitor that 2 hour requirement. Only the 14 days refund requirement. So OP could buy it, try it for a few days, then refund if they don't like it.
It is stated in their help article:

"a refund for any title that is requested within 14 days of purchase and has been played for less than 2 hours"

I've refunded games well past the 2 hour mark in the past. Even had a member of Steam Support confirm that they don't really enforce the 2 hour limit due to technical reasons. The article is outdated. They only enforce the 14 days limit.

Multiplayer in Reforger is 05/50 in my own experience. Others have complained it's still experimental. Something is wrong with the servers/steam system..idk Only on a few attempts have I been able to join MP. Then crash and/or all servers disappear or unavailable. WTF.

Reforger does have the similar 'flavor' of ARMA 3 with better graphics, enemy AI response, and newer optimized Engine.
I do not personally like the new GUI system.
**Fast internal response requires a simple fast system....or any game becomes frustrating.**
Friendly AI might also still be bugged as noted by others. It's still a WIP.
Some scenarios were still verging on "pretty good" imo.

Reforger is reputed to be a test bed for ARMA 4, which hopefully is still pending.
A decade of loyal players await....

As a dependable and enjoyable game ARMA 3 is still superior imo.

So many different map variations. Mediterranean/E Europe/ SE Asia/ Middle East/etc.
Every map has beautiful crafted objects hidden if you bother to look.

My old 2080S GPU actually doesn't notice much FPS difference between the two.

At a past point I once stopped buying ALL GAMES when Steam became the dominant defacto gaming distribution platform.
-Because I don't like monopolies. Period.
-I don't like the subscription model and will resist and find alternatives.
-I want to be be able to play offline. At any time. I paid for the f'ing product.

My internet was slow DSL sketchy for a long time because of availability.

Since then I've realized the landscape of the entire online/gaming industry..
I've successfully returned a few purchases to Steam. A few I didn't bother to.
No problems.
Some required a week to D/L. Steam initially recognized that time as 'game play'
Easy correction fixed within a day.

Simple answer: Don't abuse the system and you'll be fine.
What subscription modell? Steam has none.
