Does anyone still play Arma 3? Not a dig by any means, an actual question...

Been trying to look for a unit to join to get to playing more serious Arma, but every unit I see on the Units Page the game launcher sends you to talks about needing Arma Reforger. I'm completely new to all this, and just want to know how to play this game with people lol Me and a buddy have been doing some of the co-op stuff and half succeeding, so I'd like to see what else we can get into. Is Arma 3 just dead now? Did I get here too late? lol

The game is absolutely bouncing but mainly in private. The actual groups thing on the launcher is not used anywhere near to its potential. If you're looking to get involved, I would recommend public events which are advertised on the groups discussion or look for some niche you're interested in and look for a group in that subject. You might not like the first group you find and that's okay but it will get you into a circle which will extend to other circles.

A good place to start may be joining the groups of Youtubers such as Karmakut or Operator Drewski. Be aware, it's a huge time sink though.

Yeah I'm not so much worried about the time sink lol I was a long time Elite Dangerous player, so time sink is my middle name lmao When you say about the things advertised in the "groups discussion", do you mean here on Steam? Or on the Arma site itself? It's good to know people are still playing. I see the server browser is full up, so I was a little confused as to why I can't find somewhere to find a group. All the stuff in the server browser is stuff I can't join for one reason or another tho of course. I could really just use a crash course in Arma in general to know what I want. I would prefer like a smaller unit focused on more spec ops style operations, where the operations and preparation are taken pretty serious, but not having to refer to people by rank in normal conversation lol Thanks for any and all help man. Much appreciated :) I'm certainly not here to claim the game is just dead because I'm not using the right means to find people to play with lol

We play in EU times on Fridays and Saturdays generally and sometimes Sundays. Server is up 24/7, so hosting on workdays is possible.
We also have an Antistasi server that you can play on 24/7.

We have no specific faction, so Zeuses can make mission where we play as anyone against anything. Once you join you can attend missions immediately. No Trainings needed. But if you are new, we dont mind getting you familiar with mods we use like ACE.

We are not serious milsim, I would describe us as Semi-Serious. You can joke all you want, but when bullets start flying, cut the crap, until they stop.

We are pretty new, so we don't have a lot of attendance yet. Small unit tactics it is than.

Yep I joined their unit, and have had some fun. Definitely some improvement that needs done, but I can already see the amount of work they put into it, and as someone who runs a sim racing community myself, the dedication says it all :p

A good reason for it being asked is due to the newer Arma titles that do exist and are being worked on currently!

I understand your point though, no one ever checks community tab and notes active players, it'd save a lot of time for those people who do ask the question!
