We got our own discord server here: https://discord.gg/BUHPfX96jb (Let me know if link will stop working or smth)
P.S if someone else also wants a littlebit of training send me invite and lets get to work
It's a quirky process..
Servers needs to know everyone can experience a custom structure or vehicle or event.
A3Launcher (a 3rd party program) will find these but tends to d/l everything if not careful.
Their GUI might be confusing to figure out at first.
To play on certain servers you will have to buy the DLC first (ie buy Apex to play on Tanoa maps, Nam to play on the several Nam map servers). I've seen lots of people try to join but get kicked perhaps without a reason given. IDK.
All this information should have been made more obvious by B.I., with auto links to fix, imo.
-Muscle memory for movement keys under fire.
-Knowing the menu system and rhythm of the game play...for when you need to stress just a little...where other players are...change tactics to get the job done...etc.
-Plus knowing ARMA A.I.'s ability to see through trees, one-tap from 1k yrds, and shoot through stone walls. All BS. They call it 'game play balance' but it is really cheating by A.I. Opfor. Game moderators/administrators might decide to make things especially challenging sometimes. It wasn't your fault.
-There will always be trolls and idiots. As with any public FPS server.
-Some servers have the same usual crowd but at only certain times.
The game will still be frustrating sometimes, it is not 'realism' so don't take it too seriously.
the official escape is still a great coop mode (public server experience varies)
