It is possible.
In main directory of ARMA3 in Addons folder you will find few files named starting from missions_f. In those pbo files are all missions made by BIS. For safety reasons best option is to copy them and unpack them in different place. After that you just need to copy whole folder with mission to the editor folder, launch ARMA and check it :)
I wont. I just want to see how BIS design their missions and use it to improve my own.
When I come to "un-pbo'ing" the mission_f.pbo using ArmaUnPBO, I get an error saying "Out of Memory." I have placed the pbo on my desktop and attempted to extract the file to my 2TB HDD, but go the same error. 2 Files did copy; the "$PBOPREFIX$" (1KB large) and a file called "Arma 3" (0KB large)
I have tried again with CPBO (from arma tools) but in CMD i get a line saying it's header is blocked. I can only assume BIS has added some form of block to the file.
There's no blockade on any of the PBO files.
Absolutley fantastic. Awesome stuff. It worked fine.
Basically they call these scripts and never touch the in game editor which was built for the average joe .... Im not saying anyone is a novice here but if you have no coding knowledge in any coding language then its going to take a very long time to achieve that level of skill and it certainly isnt worth it.
Just a heads up and good luck mate all the best because you will need it trust me aha
Completely get ya! I have started dabbing into external scripting but I just wanted to see how it was all compiled and how they achieved some cool moments. Its amazing to see the campaign in the flesh really.
