Supporter Edition, what is it?

I noticed in my email it said anyone who purchased a supporter edition of Arma 3 will receive all paid DLC for free. Is supporter edition a specific version you had to buy, or if you bought it when it was in alpha when it first came to steam is that considered supporter edition?

no, it was a deluxe edition available at the time of the alpha

The supporter edition was a special edition that included everything from the digital deluxe edition and a bunch of other things (like the DLCs), but was only available as preorder from the BIStore. It was never offered on Steam and more expensive than the full retail price.
