No, fun is subjective from person to person, you do not get to decree what is fun and what is a chore for anyone else but yourself, neither do I or indeed anyone else.
I don't like COD, but I'm not going to talk ♥♥♥♥ about it or the people who do like it, it does it's thing but it's thing is not for me. If everyone stuck to their own lanes on this matter we'd not have an issue. But they don't, so you'll get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ARMA veterans talking down about COD kiddies, and K/D hero's cringing at ARMA's hurry up and wait simulation.
Both sides are full of morons, don't join them.
this is a combat sim,
cod is a action packed shooter for a quick thrill,
they do there own thing, that is all pure and simple,
you want a full battlefield experience like real soldiers, Arma 3,
you want something quick and spoon fed, Cod.
Because they are recycling and part of the Greta movement.
Imagine the Co2 release if they had to invent new topics :D
Fagofduty, that's a good one. Nice exemplification of this homophobic, racist community.
The way AI sees means that the players can't see "adequately" through foliage and ground clutter and I swear to you the last time I tried to install ARMA 3, the ai could perceive details confirming a target that most humans cannot. I'm a long time player 1000+ hours, played many brutal scenarios.
After installing it after years of not playing I noticed peculiarities of the ai in terms of how they could spot the player and direct accurate fire. Other people have complained about it but the shill squad swoops in and starts their gaslighting about how it's not possible.
The way it seems to work is that the obfuscation layer on foliage and how the ai sees players or other ai is not (last time I played) very "human". Basically in the BIS forums somebody said that the invisible layer that is supposed to "block" ai vision is not adequate and allows the ai to discern way more than a human player could when being behind the same cover.
You can argue this against me but that's what people were saying was basically the only way to fix it, and I did not have the desire or patience to install the mod tools and do it myself with every little piece of grass and shrub and tree.
Whereas a human needs more than a dot of exposure of an ai to acquire a target, the ai can literally see a small minuscule bit of a player or other ai sticking out from somewhere that should be part of the unintelligible background among the ground clutter. I used to fix this by altering their "sensitivity" values for each unit until their spotting time and ability was more in line with an actual human being instead of something from cyberpunk 2077. I tried doing that again and altering the sensitivity values did not work, so I basically gave up because I'm not here to fight bipedal half life 2 turrets.
It's like the AI has permanent heat vision on, last time I installed I spent more time trying to figure out how the ai had changed, but they really need to do a better job of balancing a more realistic perception model for ai, because last time I played it was basically terminator tier.
Concealment was only for ai and if you didn't have cover, you were basically ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
That's not fun so I uninstalled it and went back to ghost recon breakpoint.
Not really fair that the last time I installed the game "concealment" worked better for AI than the player to a degree that made concealment pointless for the player. I don't mind a challenge but there are two things I hate in "realistic" games.
- bullet spongey opponents that are supposed to be as vulnerable as the player
- opponents that have perceptive abilities that are far more enhanced than the player
Both of those are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lame, I don't want an "extra challenge" in the form of superhuman enemies in a supposedly tactical shooter.
Maybe it's changed, but a few years ago it was bad, like remarkably worse than anything I had experienced from 2014-2017, and I played the absolute ♥♥♥♥ out of the game from 2014 to 2017.
As someone who is actually Homophobic. I can read what he said and know he dont mean actual ♥♥♥... its a choice of words to say Gay... and Gay, being another word for Weak.
