Yesterday played and joined a couple servers with virtually no lag, and today I cannot join ANY server at all, and it appears most of them have a high ping. I gave up battlefield because of the constant troubleshooting in order to play, can someone tell me if I'm going to need to dump hours of my day into troubleshooting for ArmA? Because frankly I would rather just give up on PC games, sell my computer and get a PlayStation.

Side not; Nothing has changed on my PC, the only update that happened within the time I played yesterday and trying today was a Steam update

Also, every time I refresh the page I get a different list of servers, granted I may get a few of the same here and there. How do I favorite a server I like? I cant see a search bar, at least one that isn't obvious. Also, gamespy has been using the same server engine it seems like since Never Winter Nights, which most of you probably don't know what that game is, they need to re-vamp or ArmA needs to find someone else to manage their servers, because gamespy sucks frankly

You can assign favorite by clicking on the empty space to the left of server name shoud appear a star there, to earch a server or a type of mission it's running use the filter option. Also, you can define a max ping range.

Also, all ARMA servers are private, not owned by BiS just players, also never had problems with Gamespy.

Have you tried at looking at other servers that may be up on special server listing websites like

Thanks for answering my questions +Seilky, didn't see the search bars in the filter option. Thanks! You're pretty fortunate if gamespy doesn't give you some ♥♥♥♥ to step in, always does me and my friends, and usually the games they host. (They are known to completely abandon games when they aren't making the cheddar they expected.)

Now as for the issue on not being able to join the majority of the servers, how do I troubleshoot that? Earlier today ping levels were pretty high, but later in the day I've had extemely good ping and yet when I double click to connect to the server it will hop onto load screen for a second or two (literally) then send me straight back to the server browser

My specs are definently not the problem, other games run perfect and are much higher demanding than ArmA

Oh, that may be due to mods. If you pay a little attention you will see colored circles besides the server names, which circle been:
Green :You meet the requirements* to join the server
Yellow with a "?": Unknown, you may able to connect or not.
Red: You don't meet the requirements*
Keys: Passworded Servers
X: Wrong version (It may be a Unupdated Server or A DEV version Server).

*The requirements I metioned can be Mods (Modification and Add-ons), green you have the mods or not (if the server doesn't have any or you can join using mods the server don't have, meeting the requirements) and yellow been you are missing some stuff, you may be able to connect since some "mods" are server sided, and red you don't have the mods so they will kick you automatically (same may happen in yellow servers).
