Squad doesn't follow orders...
I've been playing the campaign and I'm just going insane... I'll order my squad to move up and they will stand there... I'll order them to regroup and they just stand there...

I don't even know if I'm doing something wrong or if its totally broken

The AI is stupid as hell in Adapt, I also don't know whats wrong with them.

*places character as leader of squad*
*orders squad to stay still*
*runs away then orders ai to regroup*
*they regroup*

I think you are doing something wrong or your not describing enough details on whats going on when you order a regroup. Are you in combat or what?

Have you played the campaign? Only someone who hadn't played it would say it's nothing wrong with them.

No dude... you just dont get it. If you're under attack at all they go into automatic danger mode to protect themselves and you from getting them killed. If you want em to obey out of combat what theo says is exactly how they perform.

In the missions the squadmates you have are identical to how they would be if you spawned em in the editor.

Finished adapt twice allready on veteran (enemy skill at 80) so I kinda know what im doing and saying.

There are a few tricks to using AI squadmates effectively and most of them actually are hinted in the campaign.

And fyi when in combat AI go into a cover and move routine. Some move while others hold and cover.

I also know how to use the squad properly, but when the AI is not in combat (indicator not red) and still doesn't want to form a formation or the medic refuses to heal others (only happens when I order him 10 times to do so) then there is something wrong. Even the AT soldier stuck sometimes - gave him a target, open fire order, he still waited and wasn't able to move anymore (clear straight sight to the target with no obstacles), the only thing I was able to do was to shoot him and use the rpg by myself.

I found that the AI in the Adapt campaign are unnecessary to complete the campaign.
The first time I had to command the AI(steal a supply truck)I just left them in the vehicle I used as a road block and blew them up.It was just so much easier that way.

Another when I had to ambush a chopper,the AI would start shooting and draw the opposing AI to me and get me killed.So the next time the level started I just shot them and completed the mission.

Hah I cant say I agree with your methods but I guess it still works. Most of the time I just let them follow me and they seemed to a fairly good job at it.

I'd just like to know why they didn't allow us to play cooperative in the campaign like you could in arma 2. Oh well

Somewhat off topic, but the campaign for the expansion will allow coop.
