How do I set up private Co-op?
So me and my friends have all tried this method:

Play> Multiplayer> New> Created the match with name and password etc

But people just can't join it. Server not responding etc.

Can you elaborate on that please? I'm not sure how you mean lol

multiplayer > filter > $hostname

He means if they are trying to join you by steam's "join game" option, it doesn't work.

Your friends need to search for you in the multiplayer browser using the filter.

Okay thanks guys

Doesn't seem to have worked. We both looked and couldn't find each tohers match
Manwith Noname Jan 28, 2014 @ 1:02pm
You did change the LAN/Internet setting to internet right?

Edit2: The port forwarding info relates to Dedicated servers, it should not be required when launching from within the Arma Multiplayer browser.

Help. Did anyone ever get this working?
I've tried forewarding my ports it wants

I had to forward ports, and even then it took several tries to get people to connect. Something's definitely screwed up. It has been for a few patches now...

You cant. You have to buy a server or port forward. Or make a LAN game.

Could you instruct me on the port forward process? Ive got a spaare gaming rig to use, and I have two friends I am trying to play with

I have just discovered Evolve www.evolvehq.com which I have heard others have had success with, but I have yet to be able to try it out yet.

EDIT- Let me clarify. I have used this to connect to Arma 3 with success, but have yet to see if another can connect as well. That said, it appears to work.
