Can't do the side mission pop ups
After getting to the guerrilla camp I over hear people talking about medical supplys and other stuff, I get mission pop ups that i can select in J and every time i run off to do it i get forced into the main mission, Am I not ment to do the side missions?

I have the same issue. Yet people have spoken in other places, about the gear that you obtain, not saving to your charcter becuase once you start the breifing, it notifies you that your gear will reset, becuase apparently, BI studio knows want guns suit me and my mission objectives, more than I do... So why bother? Flawed design IMO.

If you want to do the side missions dont start the briefing for the main mission. Go to the side mission briefings first.

Don't think there is a side mission briefing, And when the main mission starts I'm about 800 meters away from base camp!

I have only done 1 side mission and it had a briefing of its own and everything

Select as current task and follow the marker to the npc, start the briefing, done. Im in the second camp of adapt. I missed the side missions in the first camp due to not realising about them.

Funny when i read the info for scouting (optional) it says just leave at your discraton to start scouting the surrounding area NO briefing

Well not all must have a briefing then but mine definitely did. Again if you want to do side missions, dont start the briefing for the main mission.

Omfg did you even read?? the main mission auto starts when I'm about 800 meters away from the briefing area

Well it shouldnt so it must be a bug. And if you had started the briefing you would more than easily been able to run 800m in 5mins they give you to setup for the mission. You never actually said whether or not you had started the main mission briefing first so i am just throwing out ideas for you.
