Low fps on decent pc (atleast i think)
So i get really low fps on low settings these are my specs:
AMD Athlon II x3 450 Processor 3.20 GHz 3 cores ofc
8 gb RAM on 64bit system
500gb HDD
AMD Radeon HD 6670 (total memory 4095 - this says for graphics card when i check it)

So month ago i had hard disk that had like 60gb avaliable in both C: and D: could that drasticly affect my frames in game??

I think your biggest issue is your AMD Atholon II processor, this game is heavily reliant on CPU and those with Intel chips seem to be getting the most out of Arma 3 now. I have an AMD FX 6100 overcloced to 3.7 GHz and I am able to get 45 fps in single player with settings on normal or medium. But multiplayer I am lucky to break 15 fps on a low ping low populated server.

I play DayZ sa and every1 says Intel runs better than AMD and so it is true for amra 3 i guess now i know it and i heared arma requires CPU before everything so yeah processor might be case but i will download it again and try thanks

Arma 3 is really CPU intensive and still highly unoptimised. I have a FX 6300 and a 280x and i get about 20 fps on a 60 person king of the hill, but I improved this by following some of the tweaking guides on youtube...

yep sad to say intel is your only hope for good fps multiplayer, i had the fx 6300 does fine with the right tweeks.also worth looking at your graphics card may be bottle necked with that cpu, i think with a better cpu you will see a massive improvment.

Since you're on 64 bit, try using a different memory allocator, as well as increasing your maxmem parameter

That pc was decent 6 years ago.

What do you have i7 32 gb ram 10 fkn graphics cards m8 you dont need server to run fkn game
SaLaĐiN Nov 14, 2015 @ 6:35am
The problem is your cpu, anything below i5 2500 K/nonK is will perform poorly.

First thing to do should be to start a small singleplayer mission and see if you get better fps, most servers in A3 are bad or run bad missions they cant handle and if the server is running slow ALL the clients are running slow too.

King of the hill server 50 people = 25-35 fps
EUTW server 60-70 people = 50-70 fps

Would be kinda sad if you went out to upgrade your computer only to find 0 improvement because it wasnt your computer that couldnt handle it but the server/s you were playing on.

One more thing if my entire pc is AMD so processor, gpu everything including motherboard can i switch to intel CPU?? or i need to switch motherboard idk
