S C O P E. not gun dude
Khalia is the best scope in the game for long ranges. Dont use the lrps that is for extreme ranges only. Mainly 2000+ for experienced players. Khalia is best for medium to long range. 100-2000M

Here's the thing with sniper in KOTH, though. . . you're really screwing yourself and your team over unless you're in the capture area. The circle is 600m wide.

But you can also stop the other team from entering it from a distance!! witch can be a bigger help to your team!!

You can also stop enemies from entering the AO from a distance while also being in the AO. Snipers are on very bottom of the list of contributors if they can even make it onto the list. An MG inside the AO on a little peak or tower is far more effective than any sniper at stopping enemies from entering the AO.

Players who dedicate themselves as pilots for a round to their team are far greater an asset than snipers, and they don't even get any kills. Honestly, I feel like most snipers just snipe because they think it'll make them cool or because they don't like the idea of being shot back at.

Can only agree, recently ended a game with 0 kills and like 6 deaths my team won and I was the only "dedicated" pilot transporting people, end reward was over 20k xp.

A few good snipers are ofc good for the team, they can kill dangerous things like those MGs inside the AO on peaks/towers and makes people be very careful with using the towers. The problem is simply that most snipers arent "good snipers" and often there are too many of them.

The difference between a useless sniper and a useless guy in the AO is that the useless sniper is completely useless while a useless guy in the AO is still +1 guy in the AO.. but thats really it :P

Those rewards are pretty great. One or two isn't a huge deal so long as they're sniping other snipers, but you can achieve the same results with an MG, even better ones, you're just significantly more visible when firing and have to really pay attention to cover and finding places to deploy your bipod.

I pretty much either countersnipe or go in with an assault rifle. Depends on the map. Shooting enemy snipers who are taking out your own guys inside of the objective from an opposite hill is useful to the team. Made it #3 on the list last time, too.

Oh, the scope I've been using is the Long Range Precision Sights (or LRPS whatever).

I don't know what are you guys talking about, it can handle anything from 200 meters to 2000 meters. I do not regret spending 40k on it.

The list (scoreboard) does not accurately reflect who the most valuable players are in game (or in otherwords, who contributed the most)

I didn't say it does, I just pointed that out. I killed 25 enemy snipers on a hill overlooking the objective. I didn't see anyone complaining. I'd say that I helped the team.
