BattlEye is a joke [I'm talking about BattlEye's bad design here]

I was playing The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the sky SC with Cheat Engine. I left Cheat Engine open and 2 days later I want to play some Arma 3 and then I get banned from a server for "Game Hack". What is this?

Uh, looks like the jokes on you.

That's BE working as it should. If you actually read the terms of agreement, then you'd know that having any kind of cheat engine enabled on your pc is a valid right to ban.

If you want to actually do something about it, take it up with BE and they *might* lift it if they can varify you didn't use it with this game; but I highly doubt it.

Next time know what you're agreeing to when you install something lol!

BE detects cheats. Cheats can be vectored from CheatEngine. BE is working as it should.

I wouldn't bother contacting BE if I was you, as thay have direct proof of you running CheatEngine and so will not reverse this ban. Contacting them is just going to waste everyones time and effort.

I don't think you get what I'm trying to talk about, so here's a hint: The f--king design of BattlEye. I don't even give a nanodamn about the fact that some server banned me, I'm here to talk about how stupid the way they designed BattlEye is.

Instead of detecting what game CE is attached to, they only detect CE and then conclude that you're using it on Arma 3. It's bad design, period.

You're posting about the anti-cheat in a game forum from which you recieved the ban. If you were genuinely more concerned about the anti-cheat rather than the ban or game for which it was given you would be posting in a forum where it is more probable that a discusion of the methodology of the anti-cheat would be relevant.

All you'll get here is the fact that the anti-cheat is working as expected or the usual anti-hacker retoric from other commentators.

Simply put, if you want to direct your criticism about BE to BE, then this is not the place.

Therefore it isn't too much of a stretch to assume that you are indeed more concerned about the ban than you may realise yourself!

BE kicks for having CE open it doesnt ban. It only bans if you are doing something naughty.

This stood about a year ago, it may have changed and this is public knowledge.

Only BE can help you if you are truly innocent. Follow their FAQ.

Yea it really is your fault. This has happened to many people on csgo for having cheat engine for another game at the same time. But either way, It's a cheat software so what do you expect? It's the same situation as having say a hack for another game open while playing a different game and getting banned, What do you expect?
