How do you load up backpack/cargo space?

Im new at the game but Im stuck after pressing I to open inventory, there is enough space on the bar below. When I try to move say ammo box or any thing things wont move.

The bar on the bottom tells you your overall weight. You should normally try to keep that at the half. If you go over it you will have less Stamina and the Weapon sway will be stronger.

And every part that you are wearing - Uniform, Vest, Backpack - has a specific available space for items. This is shown with a white bar under every clothing / backpack.

When the bottom bar is full now - you can not add anything to Uniform / Vest / Backpack even if their bar is not full.

I'm new too. The game seems overly complicated. It's not just what you can do, it's how it's executed. I can't figure out what to do next, the instructions aren't clear. You can't see the waypoints when you need to. It's going to take a while to get past just boot camp. Damn... I expected better for the reviews.

It's not a simple game, there is a fairly steep learning curve, the game isn't for everyone.

Which bar do you mean? There are two kind of bars, one below the backpack (and uniform and vest), this bar means how much the container can carry. Another at the bottom side of inventory screen (bigger longer one), this means how much weight you already carried.

Sometimes you need to manually activate the mission marker on the map. Click the mission icon (or the Tasks button on the map menu) then click Activate.

Yeah, not the sort of attention-span worthy of an Arma 3 player. Giving up within a day. Nope, within 8 hours.

If the backpack, or truck cargo inventory is full, then it is full. If you want to offload stuff from your backpack, to a truck or other inventory, you look at the destination first. Use the action menu or I key to open inventory. Select the back pack or wherever you need space. On the left column above you should see 'crate' meaning the vehicle/crate. Other wise you will drop stuff to the ground (showing Ground in the top of that section). Then it is simply a matter of dragging right to left. And back for vice versa.

Also, there is more tutorial content than just the Bootcamp/Prologue to the campaign. Look for VR-Training in the Tutorial menu of Arma 3 main screen.
