Helicopter camera control

Does anyone know what settings i need to change for getting the helicopter camera controls to work when taken pilot control from the co-pilot seat?

As of right now all i can do is enter the camera and zoom in/zoom out and change the thermals but would be a lot more helpful if it was actually controllable without having to release the pilot control so it doesn't just aim straight ahead...

You can't control the camera while piloting.

If I understand you correct you want a free look while sitting in a vehicle?

Press 2x Left Alt or go to Gameplay settings and activate free look in vehicles permanently.

I don't know of any way to do it by scripting.

No no you misunderstand, when in the co-pilot seat you can take control over the helicopter and from there you can both pilot the heli and use the camera. Thanks for trying to help out though!

You sure? I saw one guy on a server consistently giving super precise lasers on enemy locations from a heli but perhaps he was releasing control over the heli for it to work each time?

Pilot seat have a cam to locate and gif orders on target to co-pilot.
The co-pilot have cam from gunner whit laser.
But if you controlle the heli from co-pilot you can not use the cam from pilot, only youre own gunner cam.

Create driver (or pilot): directly drive/fly vehicles with an AI behind the wheels!
(optional) A custom helicopter flight system with its own new pilot (called "super pilot") + loitering (including loitering UI) + cruising (including cruise UI) + landing + sling-loading

You don't control the targeting camera. There are some (vanilla) helicopters that give the pilot a camera to control, but it's not the targeting camera.

Thats what i want, when i am in the co-pilot seat controlling the helicopter i want to control the co-pilots ''gunner'' camera so i can lase enemy positions, but the camera wont move around, all i can do is zoom in and out

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately its a public multiplayer server which i have no control over

You cannot fly the helicopter, and control the targeting camera. I have no idea why BI has done this, because you can fly, and control the targeting camera in a jet, but not in a helicopter.

You cannot fly the helicopter, and control the targeting camera. I have no idea why BI has done this, because you can fly, and control the targeting camera in a jet, but not in a helicopter.

If you use co-pilot seat and take controlle to fly, the mouse is the fly controlle.
BI can set it as like a jet you can fly and controlle the gunner cam and use keyboard to fly around (like in a jet) , but i think they balance it to force you to fly whit 2 players/AI.

And som helicopters have static cam that can not be move around , they can be use if you land or do a pickup (the cam point strait line down not forward)
